Drill Design by Tom Dean

 

Tom Dean is an active Band Director, adjudicator, consultant, designer, music arranger and drill writer in the Marching Band activity.  Tom was the head director and music department chairman at Castle High School in Newburgh, IN from 1994-2006.  Under his direction, the Castle High School Marching Knights was a consistent Indiana State Finalist and BOA competitor.  Tom is currently teaching at Castle Junior High School. 

Tom has worked closely with music composers/arrangers John Fannin, Richard Saucedo and Frank Sullivan to transform original ideas/themes into the marching band activity.

Through my years of marching band experience, I feel that I am in sync with what director’s need and want to have a successful marching band season.  My clients receive the following

- Close consultation with arrangers, composers, directors, color guard, and percussion arrangers BEFORE the first page of drill is written.

- All Charts and Coordinate sheets are emailed via .pdf for easy printing.  All charts are designed using Pyware software, so the final product can be highly customized to your specifications.  

- All Charts contain detailed directions and count structures.

- Quicktime movies of the drill and music are provided (especially helpful for color guard designers!)
